Restaurant Bella Toscana
About This Spot
Stepping into Restaurant Bella Toscana on Nikadel 39 feels like arriving at a warmly lit nook where time slows just enough to savor familiar comforts with a gentle Dutch coastal charm. The space is cozy yet lively, humming with the soft murmur of conversations and the occasional friendly laughter that makes you feel welcomed immediately — as though you’ve wandered into a neighbor’s dining room rather than a restaurant.
The pace here encourages unhurried meals and relaxed moments shared across rustic wooden tables. Whether it’s a casual dinner after a day on the island or a weekend gathering, Bella Toscana invites you to linger, soaking in an atmosphere where the staff’s easy approachability feels like an unspoken promise: you’ll be cared for, your preferences noticed, your questions met with genuine warmth.
Of course, the kitchen is at the heart of the experience, blending classic Italian flavors with touches that reflect the local spirit. The aromas of freshly baked pizza with bubbling cheeses and herbaceous notes drift invitingly through the dining room, while pastas arrive rich and thoughtfully seasoned, coaxing smiles and contented sighs. There’s a sweetness to the meal’s rhythm: from sharing simple starters like Caprese or Vitello Tonato to savoring rich desserts that echo Italy’s sun-drenched hillsides.
This isn’t a place for rushing; the occasional wait for your meal emphasizes the care poured into each plate and the bustle of happy diners filling the space. It’s the kind of restaurant where booking ahead feels like a small secret shared with locals who know that the best moments are reserved for those patient enough to enjoy the full unfolding of tastes and stories. Families, couples, and groups alike find their rhythm here, with little ones delighting in thoughtfully prepared dishes that feel both nourishing and playful.
For anyone exploring De Koog, Restaurant Bella Toscana offers more than just a meal — it’s an invitation to pause, connect, and embrace the quietly joyful art of Italian dining with a Dutch twist.

We were wandering around hungry on our first night in town, desperately looking for something to eat, and wow did we strike gold! The staff here are so friendly it’s almost suspicious — like, how can anyone be this nice and make perfect pizza? Every bite was amazing, and they even handled our random custom requests like total pros. The place itself is adorable, cozy, and gives off “you’re part of the family now” vibes. Prices are super reasonable too, which made the whole thing even better. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If I could give six stars, I would.

5 Stars - One of the best glutenfree pizzas I ever had, great service and a relaxed atmosphere! Don’t hesitate and enjoy some great food here!

Food and service are great, Saturday is very busy best to call for reservations in advance. If there is busy in the restaurant, the noise can be quite irritating.

The food is so tasty but you have to wait for over an hour for it to be served. Booking in advance is required as the restaurant can get packed. The staff are helpful and crack jokes here and there.. They can speak English too.
